Even though I did some shooting as a kid hunting cans, bottles, and the occasional squirrel or rabbit with a bb gun, I didn't get serious about it until I became a parent.  I woke up and realized that I'm responsible for these innocent little people and I am their first line of defense.  I must stand between them and any threat that may come along. I purchased my first gun and started taking classes.  In addition to learning from other instructors first hand, I did my own research and started putting in the time behind the trigger.

I started Civil Defender Arms to share my knowledge with people just like me.  Show people that you don't have to have military experience to perform at high levels when evil comes knocking.  It does require pushing your personal limits.  Learning how to deal with stress.  How to control your emotions.  That way you can respond accordingly when things go bad.

I have the upmost respect for Law Enforcement and support them 100% but by definition they are post incident response.  They can't be everywhere all the time and it takes time to respond.  Most often minutes to arrive on scene.  Who is going to fill that gap of time?
